my cubicle sign
This is the sign on my cubicle at my office. I love to look at it; it reassures me that I did indeed finish my degree. Yay!

Here's the house that faces ours. They have no porch, so their toes aren't nearly as tanned as mine. Ha ha!
Eastman road is up a fairly steep hill. Downhill is Highland Avenue, the main drag of my neighborhood. Thinking about the unshoveled streets around here this past winter, maybe I won't mind leaving afer all.
Here's the view up Eastman Road from my porch. I can't tell you how much I love living here. The sun, the light, and the quiet all make it hard to leave.
This is the front of our house. Our porch is on the second floor (but our apartment's on the third floor. It's not very convenient.)
Here's the living room at 5 Eastman. If you look closely, you can see Horshack's cage behind the blue armchair. Can you believe we bought that chair and that sofa for under $30 total?
Here I am in full Sumo regalia. I love dressing up! That's Izumi, another grad student assistant, behind me.
Mary is the financial point person at RIJS. Hiraku and Jeff are grad student assistants. Jeff does kendo, so you don't want to get in his way. He wore a "Yankees Suck" t-shirt to our Red Sox game outing. Go Jeff! Hiraku has a job as a professor of history at Vassar now. We'll miss him, and his sumo flexings.
